Hotel Snapshot
Hilton Vancouver Downtown, a 207-room property in the heart of Vancouver, BC, blends modern design with responsible hospitality. As part of Hilton’s global Travel with Purpose initiative, the hotel continues to lead with solutions that are as cost-effective as they are eco-friendly.
The Challenge
Like many upscale hotels, Hilton Vancouver was looking to align its sustainability commitments with the reality of daily operations. But traditional facial tissue boxes posed three issues:
• Contained single-use plastic
• Created unnecessary housekeeping waste
• Felt outdated in thoughtfully designed guest rooms
They needed a change. One that would reduce waste, improve housekeeping efficiency, and compliment a luxury guest experience.
The Solution
Fox Fold’s refillable bamboo tissue dispensers offered an elegant alternative to the standard tissue boxes. Designed for eco-conscious hotels, the solution helped Hilton:
• Eliminate single-use plastic packaging
• Reduce cost and product waste through a refillable solution
• Match the aesthetic of their luxury guest bathrooms with a design-forward amenity
It’s a small operational shift with a big impact, lowering cost, reading waste, and a more sustainable experience for guests.
